NSW Police seized more than three thousand cannabis plants worth an estimated $6 million from a property near Cobar last week.

A 34-year-old man was charged as part of an ongoing investigation into outdoor cannabis cultivation in the far west.

The investigation and arrest under Strike Force Hyperion involved detectives from the Drug Squad, with assistance from Central North Police District, and was the largest outdoor cannabis crop located by the NSW Police Force since 2017.

The investigation found a 20,000-acre property near Cobar being used for outdoor cannabis cultivation.
