Bourke’s PCYC has gone from strength to strength over the past twelve months, scoring an outstanding 94 per cent target during a recent audit, and increasing memberships and activities on its busy calendar.
Manager Lyndsay Whyte said the school holidays in January would kick start another action-packed year and said he was proud of his team for making the past year such a success.
“The PCYC is extremely important to the Bourke community and this year we not only saw an increase in membership and participation, but we actually turned a profit, which we haven’t done for many years,” he said.
“We also had a lot more collaboration with other youth organisations in town and that has helped us support the young people of Bourke.”
