Mathew Bowden was the deserving winner of the Dux of the Year for Bourke High School at the graduation awards night last week, capping off a highly successful year.
Mathew has excelled throughout his school years and since beginning high school in year 7 has been a stand-out student, according to Principal Andrew Ryder.
“Mathew is a fantastic young man,” Mr Ryder said.
“He’s very intelligent, polite, athletic but just as importantly, he’s very generous and committed to his family and the community.
“He was very deserving of the Dux award and has earned his invitations to study at two of NSW’s best universities.”
