Jenny’s art a drawcard

Jenny Greentree’s Back O’Bourke Gallery was a popular destination during the Community Cabinet visit on Monday.

Minister for Arts Don Harwin made sure he was given a tour of the gallery and was keen to hear the story of Jenny’s transition from teacher to one of the country’s most respected landscape artists.

“He was very enthusiastic to learn about how we developed the gallery,” Jenny said. I told him how we stayed on after the last big millennium drought, how we didn’t leave but stayed and built something that has been a real positive for Bourke,” Jenny said.
