Police seek help to fight drugs

Police District Superintendent Andrew Hurst is calling on the community to assist local police in disrupting the supply of drugs into outback towns like Bourke and Brewarrina.

Inspector Hurst says the community does not have to put up with dealers selling drugs to your kids and your family.

He is calling on all community members to call Crimestoppers or call the local police station and report what you know.

“A lot of the dealers don’t take drugs themselves but are happy to sell it to your kids and we urge the community not to put up with it.

“Drug supply and the impact it has on the community will always be the focus of our policing, but we need information.  Read more in the printed edition of the Western Herald.
