Independent Panel meets in Bourke

Without rain, there is not much that can be done about the drought other than assuring communities the government was listening, according to the Chair of the Independent Assessment of Social and Economic Conditions in the Murray Darling Basin.

Robbie Sefton has been heading a series of meetings being held across the western region of NSW, and last week she was in Bourke as part of the listening tour.

The Independent Panel was appointed by Federal Water Minister David Littleproud to look at the social and economic conditions of communities in the Murray Darling Basin.
