Dr McGrath rekindles love affair with Bourke
Local GP Dr Chantal McGrath needed no incentive to leave Sydney and come to Bourke to become part of the team at the RaRMS medical practice.
For Dr McGrath, Bourke holds fond childhood memories and a strong family connection. Her uncle is Alan Morrall and she spent many school holidays here as a youngster, along with her parents and two older brothers.
“I have always loved Bourke and I knew if I had the chance it would be a place where I would like to practice medicine,” Dr McGrath said.
“I first came to Bourke to work at RaRMS three years ago as a locum for 18 months, and in that time I decided this was where I wanted to be.
