Bourke and Walgett residents will get cheaper community fares on the new Air Link service that begins from both towns to Dubbo in early November.

While most people are excited about the return of air services to Bourke, questions have been asked about ticket prices. However, if you live permanently in Bourke or Walgett Shires you will be eligible for a discounted fare.

Air Link will operate Bourke and Walgett routes from November, flying three return flights a week to Bourke and Walgett and two services a week to Lightning Ridge via Walgett. Flights from Cobar begin this month.

The passenger services to Dubbo will be carried out by a seven seat Piper Chieftain aircraft.

Ticket Prices for Air Link Services one way from Bourke to Dubbo range from $195.80 for a community fare, $324.50 for the Outback Saver fare and $543.40 for a Flexi Premium fare.

The “community fares” are available to full-time residents within the local government areas of Bourke and Walgett.
