Discussing funeral arrangements can be a delicate issue. The Youpla organisation specialises in indigenous funerals and the cultural sensitivities of honouring those who have passed away.
On Tuesday, a barbecue and information session was held at the Muda premises, hosted by Youpla community engagement officers Alana and Jamal Idris.
Jamal is a former Australian rugby league footballer, who played for the Indigenous All Stars, the NSW Blues and the Australia Kangaroos, as well as NRL Clubs – the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Gold Coast Titans and Penrith Panthers.
