The annual Bre Big Fish competition was a mammoth success according to organisers, with a huge number of entrants registered and some tall fishing tales to be told until next year’s event.

Four hundred and twenty people registered to take part and while the river levels were low, there were plenty of fish to be caught and no shortage of enthusiasm from competitors.

The results included some impressively large catches and five winners in the Mystery Carp Weight contest.
