When Roy Bennett started working as a casual labourer for the Brewarrina Shire Council, Malcolm Fraser was Prime Minister, Bob Hawke was shaking up the political world and “Nifty” Neville Wran was NSW Premier.
Roy, better known as “Benno”, has seen a lot more change during his time with the Bre Council and last week, he was farewelled as one of the Shire’s most popular and longest serving employees.
