Council seeks funding to restore North Bourke Bridge

Bourke Shire Council continues to actively seek funding to restore the North Bourke Bridge as part of a linked thoroughfare from Kidman’s Camp to the Back O’Bourke Exhibition Centre and then onto the wharf precinct
Manager of Roads Mark Gordon said Council was keen to have the bridge restored as a tourism link.
“We’ve been chasing funding from various sources to get it open for light vehicles to complete the link to North Bourke,” Mr Gordon said.
“We also want to allow pedestrian and cycle access with plans to improve the tracks from the CBD along the levee bank and out to Kidman’s Camp.
