Shave for Leukaemia a big success

A charity drive to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation saw heads shaved, hair dyed and hair styled on Friday night – a fun night that raised two and a half thousand dollars in the process.

The World’s Greatest Shave event was organised by Daniel Lowe and the team at Bourke’s Rural Fire Service with volunteers offering to shave their heads for donations.

Those not keen to let go of their locks could instead dye their hair for charity - and the support was more than Daniel expected.

“We were looking to give back to the community as a Rural Fire Service group,” Daniel said.
