Opal Centre to boost tourism across the region

Bourke’s tourism industry and visitor economy is likely to get a boost following the announcement of $34 million dollars in funding for the Australian Opal Centre in Lightning Ridge.

Federal Member for Parkes Mark Coulton made the announcement on Friday and said the funding was a combination of the Building Better Regions Fund, with the NSW State government, Walgett Shire Council and the Opal Centre also contributing.
