Last ditch effort to maintain river flow

Work is continuing on the banks of the Darling River at North Bourke in an attempt to improve water flow and keep the pump operating to secure Bourke’s town water supplies.
Manager of Works Peter Brown is the man tasked with overseeing the operation, which he said was aimed at improving water flow down the river.
“We’re removing sand from the banks at North Bourke to reduce the impediment to the water flow,” he said.
