Home grown talent makes Macquarie Home Stay a reality

The newly opened Macquarie Home Stay in Dubbo has already housed families from across the Far West as they support loved ones during their hospital stay.
The facility is a testament to the strength of community and the wealth of local talent.
The building was designed by home-grown Bourke girl – an architect with a passion for the Outback – Alex Murray.
Alex grew up on Trilby station and it was her sensitive design that caught the eye of the Macquarie Home Stay committee.
Their vision was expressed in her designs based on a connected, rural community reflecting an aesthetic with which Alex is deeply familiar. Read more in the printed edition of the Western Herald.
