Emergency water supply funding for Bourke

With an estimated five weeks before Bourke’s river water supply is exhausted, the NSW government has approved emergency funding of more than $1.2 million to construct the new bore on the Hungerford Road.
Mayor Barry Hollman said Water Minister Niall Blair had approved funding of $1.28m to construct the bore as Bourke faces extreme water shortages. .
