Development dispute with Council

If you’ve been past Diggers on the Darling this week you will have seen a big sign protesting about the competence of Bourke Council.

The sign has been all over social media and has caused a buzz around town.

Council has been accused of incompetence over a development application from local businessman Phillip Parnaby, and the sign is his way of protesting.

Mr Parnaby lodged a development application to build 40 mining camp style accommodation units behind his North Bourke Motel.
