Bourke Pencils Up for literacy

Bourke’s budding writers have been discovered and their talent has even caught the attention of a project based at Buckingham Palace.
A program called Littlescribe was in Bourke last week, inviting youngsters at the Bourke Public School to write with purpose, enjoy the process and even better - enjoy having their work read by others.
The premise that children’s writing needs to be read is the basis of the Littlescribe program, developed by founder and CEO Jenny Atkinson.
