“Head West” says new regional commissioner

The new Regional Commissioner for the Department of Planning and the Environment has wasted no time in getting his boots on the ground in Bourke.
Frank Holles attended the “Bourke Building Futures Communities” workshop at the Bourke Council chambers last week and acknowledged that a ‘one size fits all’ policy on planning did not work in country towns.
Frank admits that while he’s new in the role, his knowledge of country people and country life is second nature.
“I grew up in the country and have spent the past 35 years working in country areas,” he said.
