Bourke’s cricket season about to open

The cricket season is upon us and organisers hope to field some competitive senior teams for the local competition.

The Bourke and District Cricket Club will hold its annual general meeting at the Port of Bourke Hotel next Wednesday, October 24 from 6.30pm.

Local cricketer Brendan Shailes said he wanted to get the season up and running and urged anyone who wanted to take part should come along to the AGM.

Brendan was part of the Bourke Colts grand final win for the 2017/18 season and is hoping for another great season of competitive cricket around the Bourke district.
