Water authority delivers first report card

The National Resources Access Regulator has been up and running for 120 days, with more than 1300 calls coming into its hotline established to oversee compliance by water users.

NRAR chief executive Grant Barnes said the report card for the organization showed it was being well received by stakeholders and he was surprised at how well received NRAR officers had been in the course of their work.

“We have our Compliance officers on the ground working with landholders and we’re getting feedback about what’s working,” he said. Read more in the printed edition of the Western Herald.
