Plan for Percy Hobson to soar on Bourke’s Water Tower

The image of Percy Hobson might one day be seen soaring across the Bourke water tower at the entrance to the town if Councillor Victor Bartley has his way.

Victor is driving a campaign to have the water tower painted with the iconic image of Bourke’s Commonwealth Gold medalist Percy leaping over the high bar and his plan has received enthusiastic support from people in the community. Read more in the printed edition of the Western Herald.
