Murray-Darling Basin Plan on target

Federal Water Minister David Littleproud has welcomed a new report showing that the Basin Plan is on target.

A Productivity Commission draft report – The Murray-Darling Basin Plan: Five-year assessment was released last week.

“The Commission acknowledges we have recovered the vast majority of water required under the Basin Plan Sustainable Diversion Limit,” Minister Littleproud said.

“We’ve already recovered the necessary water in 22 of 28 water catchments.Read more in the printed edition of the Western Herald.
